As most of you know, Audrey came into this world on January 5, 2009 at 2:59 p.m. She weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 21 and a half inches long. Her daddy took her to the nursery for her first bath where I am told her Aunt Thea already wanted to hold her :). Audrey spent the night with Mommy and Daddy both nights in the hospital because the nursery had too many babies! Daddy was very tired taking care of Mommy and baby Audrey. Daddy changed his first diaper and was put to the test when she made a diaper and spit up everywhere all while he was trying to help Mommy. Audrey did a wonderful job of breaking him in. We had many visitors in the hospital and we appreciated them all very much! The love and support we felt was almost overwhelming at times. We are so blessed to be surrounded by such a wonderful bunch of family and friends. We brought Audrey home on January 7th and I believe Brent would agree that after a few days of up all nights in a hospital, there truly is no place like home. Audrey fit right in and didn't seem to mind being passed around as her family took turns holding our little blessing. She didn't seem so terribly tiny at the time, but now it is hard to even remember her being that small....time flies by and it seems like just yesterday we were waking up every 3 hours to feed her. Before we knew it little Audrey was a week old!
